Short information in English
In the town archives, you can find mostly documents which were produced by the town, or in earlier cases the market-community administration. These documents reach back to the 14th century. From 1624 on we have annual records oft he town magistrate. Unfortunately, we have a big gap in the 19th and the first half oft he 20th century records, which was caused by in or shortly after II. World War losses.
In the important topic oft he DP-Camp Föhrenwald we can provide you with some information. Most recognizable here are our documents from the registry office. But we have also some more information and books on Föhrenwald. Unfortunately, we don´t have documents which were made by the camps administration, because it was never run by the town of Wolfratshausen. If you have any further questions, please contact us.
